Workplace and wellbeing

Promoting wellbeing at work can lead to improved wellbeing and engagement.  There are moral and economic reasons why employers want to look after their greatest asset but we know that the modern workplace can be a big cause of stress.

According to the Health and Safety Executive, stress causes up to 40% of work related illness. Prolonged stress can lead to a range of physical and mental illnesses – including anxiety and depression.

Stress & anxiety management, resilience building, mindfulness and related techniques can genuinely be life changing for people, they can improve productivity and reduce absenteeism.

It’s also true that people have other personal barriers to achieving their best. I have supported many to overcome fears and phobias that affect their performance in work, for example, pubic speaking, assertiveness, social anxiety, team work, blushing.

I tailor my approach to meet your organisation’s needs and work with you to identify how best to support your business. I understand the resistors and barriers to change and can work with you to overcome these. I work with evidence-based techniques in a way that is engaging and easy to access, built to suit the audience I’m working with.

My adaptable approach might be through workshops, 1to1s, online support or consultancy. My techniques see quick and measurable change. Rather than sessions being ‘interesting at the time’ but short-lived, I can work with organisations to keep the momentum going so that the impact is lasting and measurable.

The Coping Practice :
Emma Coffey – Emma Coffey Therapy
Jon Whitworth – Jon Whitworth Stress

“Following some brilliant webinars from Emma and Jon for our UK teams we asked them to produce some bespoke webinars for our Global teams.  These were prerecorded allowing each employee to take part at a time that suited them, covering all the time zones without any issues. They were concise, informative and followed the exact format that we requested.   The introduction to Mindfullness was full of useful information and techniques and could be played back as often as necessary.  The second part allowed employees to really understand the value of mindfulness and its impact on us.  Emma and Jon compiled a set of resources to go along side the videos.  These were packed full of information, further reading and gave more background to the webinars.  We could not have been happier.

Feedback from the US was that the information was pitched to the right level but the resources and the second webinar allowed those with more interest in the topic to explore it.  The US felt that it was very reasonably priced and translated well to the US ways of working.

Emma and Jon are always a pleasure to work with and we will be collaborate on more in the future.”
